Naureen

Naureen Singh studied Criminal Justice at Colorado University, Denver. She works as a community organizer at the Asian Pacific Development Center and is the Policy Director of Colorado Sikhs. In her capacity at Colorado Sikhs, she has spearheaded some of the largest interfaith events in Colorado and been an active voice for many Sikh issues. Her advocacy, in educating her peers about the Sikh faith, earned her the 2015 "Outstanding Student Voice" award. In an effort to increase awareness about the Sikh community in the government, Naureen has interned at the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, SALDEF, and the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She has also served as a White House E3! Ambassador under the Obama Administration and organized communities around issues such as bullying, mental health, education, and public service. In 2020, she was commissioned with the U.S Air Force Reserve.
