Raaginder Singh

Raaginder Singh is a violinist and music composer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Hailing from the school of Maihar-Seni Gharana, Raaginder implements improvisation, rhythmic patterns, and the sounds of Indian Classical music on the violin. He is also immersed in contemporary music. Raaginder has produced several contemporary albums in which the sounds of Indian Classical and Hip-Hop music intertwine. His art brings forth a new, intense, and interesting sound for his audiences to hear.

  • ● Raaginder talks about making connections across cultures through music. Why do you think music cab bring people from many different backgrounds together?

    ● Do some research about your favorite musical genre and learn about the other genres and artists that have been important influences within that genre.

    ● "If you close your eyes and you don't know how I look, it'll just be this, it'll be the same as listening to any other type of music. At the same time, the Sikhism aspect of me is also that I honor my tradition, and ... I want representation for my tradition, because there's not there's not that many Sikhs in the in the arts." If music can be a universal experience, why do you think that having more Sikh representation in the arts is important to Raaginder?
